Libraries are a forgotten treasure trove of resources and adventures. During our time at home in covid times we can and should utilize those resources. From age 0- to age 110, there are classes for everyone. You can learn something new or practice and revisit something you really like. Here are our local libraries in the Five Towns (Hewlett, Woodmere, Cedarhurst, Lawrence, and Inwood) and Valley Stream, Malverne and Atlantic Beach, as well as Rosedale and The Rockaways (Peninsula, Far Rockaway, Arverne, Broad Channel and Seaside) and their classes for kids, teens and adults.
By the way, did you know that you could sign up for an e-library card from Queens and also from Brooklyn? This will allow you to do a few things like take classes and take out books and more. It is free and open to all New York State residents for free. Links are at end of list below.
Events from local libraries are scattered throughout my events calendar which you will find here.
We have lovely Little Free Libraries all around our community. Find the local spots in our article here.
