~ In partnership with Long Island Cares, Inc. and Valley Stream Presbyterian Church, Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages has helped establish an emergency food distribution site for residents who have been affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
~ The LI Cares Emergency Food Distribution site will operate EVERY WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY at the Valley Stream Presbyterian Church located at 130 S Central Avenue, Valley Stream, NY 11580. It will continue its operations until NYS PAUSE regulations are lifted.
~ If you need transportation to the Long Island Cares Emergency Food Distribution Center taking place every Wednesday & Saturday from 10:00AM - 2:00PM, please contact our office at (516) 599-2972. LYFT is providing FREE rides to assist our community.

Special Store Hours for Seniors (check ahead of time to make sure it is still going on)
- Stop and Shop in Inwood, customers older than 60 will be eligible to shop from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., every day, as health officials across the globe have warned the public that seniors, along with people who have existing medical issues, are most vulnerable.

- Target in Valley Stream reserving the first hour of shopping every Wednesday for our most vulnerable guests, including those over 65 years old, pregnant women or those defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as vulnerable or at-risk.Opens at 8 am - 9 am
- Walmart, Green Acres, Valley Stream open 6am-7am on Tuesdays for seniors.
- Costco, Lawrence, 8am-9am, Thursdays
- ALDI , 750 Sunrise Highway, Valley Stream - ALDI stores nationwide will open early at 8:30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays and ask our shoppers to reserve the first hour for our most vulnerable customers, senior citizens, and expectant mothers. Our stores are closed on Easter.
