Carnival rides & midway games provided by Newton Shows
Enjoy the traditional nostalgia of carnival rides, midway games, and pie-eating contests while exploring the agricultural splendor of the Queens County Farm Museum.* Try your luck in our corn husking contest, get on board for a tractor-drawn hayride, or be the first to find your way out of The Amazing Maize Maze on its opening weekend. We’ll also be hosting blue ribbon competitions in produce, arts & crafts, and more – just like they did at the first-ever county fair in 1693.
Like Queens County, it’s not all about the traditional. Visit the main stage and family entertainment tents to move to an incredible array of New York City-based performers and musicians, like perennial fair favorite Li Liu the Acrobat or newcomers Dr. K’s Motown Revue. Discover locally crafted goods in our Handmade Marketplace, and grab a bite from local food & craft beer vendors in Food Alley.
Round out your fair experience with a historic farmhouse tour (c. 1772), agricultural exhibitions from John Bowne High School students, cooking and composting demos, and the Zero Waste Book Swap. Don’t forget to visit our friendly farm animals and take home some produce from the Farm Store.
