🐶 Here's a great article about Linda’s Dog Training written by AKC (American Kennel Club)

REVIEWS FROM CLIENTS:

Linda can read dogs. This makes her very special.—Karen L.

Linda is an excellent trainer! She really helped me with my husky puppy who has endless energy and still knows all his basics from puppy class. It really helped round him out so I was able to teach him even more advanced tricks. I would recommend puppy school with Linda to anyone who wants a great learning experience as well as a fun learning experience for their puppy! —Cole S.

Linda was really great. We adopted Ellie from a shelter and didn’t realize how much anxiety she was having. Linda picked up all the signs and taught us how to help Ellie feel more comfortable in our home. She was great with the kids too. —Maureen B.

We just went through the Therapy Dog prep class w/ Linda and loved the whole experience. Linda is amazing, calm and extremely knowledgeable. The class not only prepared us for the TDI test but she also provided us with very practical considerations & insight into the actual reality of introducing your dog to Therapy work. I enthusiastically recommend Linda not just for this class but for any training! —Lorin D.

I would definately recommend Linda as a trainer. Our Dog is a hyper lab mix and Linda was able to get him to obey commands and teach him to have patience. She also was able to train him to allow us to walk him as we could never do before. Linda was very passionate about teaching Duncan and would even stay passed the time slot we paid for. We were very happy with her. —Nick O.

(My dog and) I have been working with Linda for nearly the past year.  My dog was a rescue with severe fear & anxiety (towards everything, you name it!) and Linda came highly recommended by many in my area.  She set us on the right path, teaching me to learn his signals and how to slowly introduce him to the world around him.  My new favorite pastime is figuring out what I can teach him to do with a clicker!  In addition to her work with us during sessions, Linda is always very responsive to my detailed emails (seriously, they can go on for pages and pages!) which is a huge comfort knowing she is always there when needed.  She even walked over one afternoon just after a blizzard last winter, after I emailed her in a panic that I couldn't get my dog's collar back on upon returning from the groomer!  There are very few people that my dog will accept outside of his original pack, and Linda is one of them!  And anyone who's ok in his book, is ok in mine! :) —Cara W.

I never really believed in the usefulness of puppy classes or professional dog training but I have to say Linda has been invaluable to me getting a new puppy. I got my Puppy Rambo at 4.5 months and enrolled in the puppy class to get him exposure to some other dogs his age. Little did I know Linda's guidance and training has helped him develop into a spectacular dog and helped me become the kind of owner who can ensure their pet has a great life. Linda also stepped in to help with some separation anxiety training. While puppy class was fun an educational, the Separation anxiety was formalized and heavily focused, and the results were spectacular. Linda was able to teach me how to read my dog and work with him to being alone while I am at work. While the training is not easy, it is effective and you see improvement every day. I cannot recommend Linda and her services enough. Even better than training Rambo, she trained me to be a confident, effective, and loving dog owner. —Rafal C.

Linda is an amazing trainer. She is extremely patient, caring and informative. I love that she follows up after lessons with informative emails and links to helpful videos. Linda is always responsive, I have reached out to her many a time in between sessions with questions and she ALWAYS responds almost immediately. And most importantly my fur baby Lilly adores her!!!! Trust me you wont find a better or more genuine trainer anywhere!! —Suri S

I first met Linda from PCT at the JFK airport where she helped me with some rescue dogs flying in from Thailand. She welcomed us into her home and she even ended up adopting one of the pack!
(Luckiest dog ever).

Fast forward to weeks later, I arrive back home in Bangkok and was having trouble with my big dog experiencing horrible separation anxiety. He was destroying furniture, curtains, even ate the front door! I was devastated, frustrated, and lost. Linda reached out and told me she offers her services remotely and asked if I would be interested. I was so excited! And of course said yes.

We began with simple to follow directions via Skype type session. Everything was very clear, we had a strong plan set in place, and she was able to walk me through the entire process and even data tracked our progress/set backs. She taught me invaluable skills that I am able to implement myself, as well with others in my household.

Linda is knowledgeable, flexible, patient, and really cares about the dogs and families she helps. Her follow up was amazing and she is just an all around pleasant person to chat with and learn from! I can't thank her enough for helping us get our normal back and giving me the tools to help my dog overcome his issues.

I highly recommend Positive Canine Training for all of your dog training needs! — Rose R

Shortly after adopting my now 10 year-old Boxer/Pittie mix from a crowded public shelter I contacted Linda at Positive Canine Training to help Benny start his new life off on the right paw. Having met Benny while volunteering, I knew he was a good dog - Linda helped make him a great dog.

We now have wonderful, miles-long walks every day without Benny dragging me down the street. His anxiety over my occasional absences is nearly gone after Linda gave me the tools to help manage his fears, behavior and emotions. And to my delight, Benny is now comfortable in the company of other dogs, which gives us a lot more freedom to arrange dog play dates and vary his daily routine.

Most of all, Benny is a more balanced and happy dog. Thanks to Linda he has acclimated quickly and successfully to his new life after showing signs of serious deterioration while at the shelter. Professionally, I work with hundreds of shelters, rescues, and adopters around the country and appreciate the value of good, positive training. I recommend Linda and Positive Canine Training without reservation; if there were more than five stars available I would give them all! —Beth Z.

Linda is truly a talented and awesome trainer! She has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to training puppies, providing behavior modification solutions and addressing separation anxiety. She is the only certified Separation anxiety trainer on LI.—Anthony D.
