I was given the opportunity to hand out the new Stonyfield Organic Kids and Whole Milk Yogurt pouches at an event where I (Macaroni Kid Five Towns-Valley Stream) had a table. The event was called "Superheroes Against Bullying", organized by Audrey, the head of the Friends Program at the New Horizon Counseling Center in Valley Stream. It took place inside the Green Acres Mall on a Sunday where there were many families able to get, not only thier delicious pouch samples, but also coupons for this fine product.
As a child, I don't really remember having yogurt in my life. I remember ice cream. My mother has often told me the story of how she took me to the doctor to tell him that her child wouldn't eat anything but ice cream. His response? So let her eat ice cream! I imagine if yogurt had been on our radar, then the doctor would have said, let her eat yogurt! A much healthier option for sure. I wish I had yogurt while growing up because I love it so much today.

On the day when the yogurt pouches arrived, my daughter and her friend were the first to try them. Guess what? They loved them! Then we had two tables at an event for kids called "Superheroes Against Bullying". We gave the yogurts out to families and kids, teens and even adults, who all loved that they were organic, low in sugar and super easy to carry and reseal. Oh and they loved the taste too!

I love them for all those traits as well as it being super convenient. In a rush, late for school? I can grab a few from the fridge, have my kid and myself easily eat them in the car, on the go. If we don't finish it, put it in our pocket for later. It is great for a breakfast add-on or a healthy snack any time of day.

Did you know that Stonyfield was founded in 1983 on a farm in New Hampshire? It was in this organic farming school that Stonyfield was born. Today they also sell in Europe and Canada. Yogurt is a wonderful source of protein and calcium kids need. But it is hard finding ones that are organic and low in sugar and tasty too as this product by Stonyfield. Another wonderful attribute this particular product has is that it comes in pouches with a resealable top. It can be thrown into your pocket or bag without concern of spillage! I will definately be putting these on my supermarket shopping list. How about you?
