Are you like me? You seem to go along and are living your life, weekends keep coming around, and you are always busy, busy, busy. Then suddenly one day you look up and wonder where has the time actually gone. Time passed, but you were unaware till now.

It is that time of year again, finally, when the birds are chirping and the flowers are blooming after a long, dreary, wet and cold Spring. This is a perfect time to be mindful of some of your moments.Get out of the car, take a walk. Pay attention to the moment. What do you see? What do you smell? Don't think about what you will make for dinner tonight. Forget about how you must do laundry tomorrow. Forget about your deadlines. Take some moments to look around, look at the sky, listen to the chirping and smell the fragrance in the air from flowers everywhere. Perhaps you want to sit in a coffee shop and just look at the passersby. Think about the now. Or better yet, don't think, just feel. Be aware.

Let's all try to be mindful. At first we will need to practice. But after a while it will become second nature. We want to aim for the best quality of life in an age where we are all on our devices and thinking about the next thing. Put your device down. Let's think about this moment. Right now. Wherever you are. Look around and take it in. Use your senses. This will have a calming effect and it is most certainly beneficial healthwise!

What did you experience? We would love to know! So, please, please, please...slow down, stop, and don't forget to smell the roses!
