We're in the midst of heavy coat, light coat, hoddie weather so you can get this hack in before summer gets here. You have a thirsty, or cranky, or particular, or hey could be all 3 kid and the shopping cart...has...NOCUPHOLDER! ARGH! Not surprising, but frequently annoying. I wouldn't try this with hot drinks or loose lids, but for my kids no-spill cups this has been fantastic.
